Requirements

The client wanted to integrate the following features into the site:

• The solution must provide an option to manage staff and offices spread across the country
• The website should help client streamline activities of the employees
• The website should have the option to manage the tour agents across the country easily and effectively
• There should be an option for simple and easy communication among the staff, customers and agents
• Accounting needs should be met and the system must be integrated with the client's present accounting software package
• The solution must help the client manage the CRM functions
• The solution must help the client respond to enquiries and complaints in a timely manner
• The website should help Agents market products provided by Intersight online

The Solution

• We developed a secure and role-based membership system with access controls suited to the client's organisation hierarchy and staff hierarchy.
• We developed an Agent Management System to track the agents and their businesses.
• We designed a Travel Products Management System to manage the products marketed by Intersight - Tour Packages, Hotels, Vehicles and Amenities.
• We created Mail Server Integration so that users can communicate within the website itself and can easily search the emails with accurate results
• We developed an Accounting Module tailored to suit the needs of travel and tourism industry and integrated it with the client's existing accounting software.
• We created a methodology for creating Sub Domains for agents so that they can create their own online business easily, offering the products provided by Intersight. The system also includes full DNS management for the agents so that they can use their preferred domain names.
• We also created a complete CRM functionality tailored to meet the needs of travel and tourism industry.

Highlights of The System

• 1. Mail system

  The portal has its own mail server that can integrate with 3rd party mail providers like Gmail, Hot Mail, and Yahoo. In this way the employees can manage email messages right from the portal itself. This mail server can handle a large volume of messages and the search is very fast and advanced. This was achieved by integrating the indexing and search framework called Lucene.

• 2. Validations

  The project is done using the latest version of ASP.net MVC and the code is optimised in such a way that the validations on the server side can easily propagate to the client side.

The Result

The newly developed Intersight Web Portal has all the features of a full-blown CRM, ERP and Product Management System tailored to meet the needs of a large travel and tourism operator. It unites the previously scattered and unorganised activities into a structured web portal. The robust features allow speedy data and email access along with seamless continuity between all areas of management, sales and administration.
